This course will cover the following areas as focused on in PASS and Common Core standards:
*Review of grammar, sentence structure, and writing conventions.
*Writing of all genres with extra focus on persuasive techniques, analysis, evaluation and incorporation of research using MLA standards. Writing will emphasize logical constructions with concrete and supporting details.
*World literature that examines fiction, non - fiction, drama, and poetry
Emphasis on analysis and evaluation of non - fiction " real world" contemporary literature including but not limited to editorials and articles from current newspapers and magazines.
