Course Description
Once you find a book you like, reading can be a pleasurable activity. This class is designed to provide the opportunity for students to read for sheer enjoyment. Students keep a weekly reading log including progress and opinions, and are required to write one book review each 9 week period. Students who have taken this class have commented that their reading scores on tests have come up, they are able to read faster, they get more out of required reading in less time, and some have reported ACT score increases from 3 – 5 points.
