2nd hour - Physics
Physics is a study of the forms and interactions of energy. Them emphasis of this course in on the use of experimental data to derive the fundamental concepts related to energy (i.e. motion, work, machines, heat, electricity) and their interrelationships. Knowledge of algebra is required.

The class uses Piaget learning cycles written by teachers from the Norman School System, in conjunction with professors from the Department of Education at the University of Oklahoma.

The course outline includes units on the movement, vectors, acceleration due to gravity, Newton's laws of motion, circular motion, gravitational attractions, simple machines, work, energy, heat, and electricity, and sometimes light and mirrors.
