6th Hour- Oklahoma History
Course Content:  A semester course that will cover geography, early explorations, Native Americans, Indian territory, The land Runs, statehood, Government economics, Prominent Oklahomans, Cultural Diversity, and Oklahoma's role in significant events in American History.

Course Objectives: Evaluate the social, economic, and political development of Native Americans from prehistoric settlement through modern times.
    - Evaluate major political and economic events prior to statehood.
    - Describe and analyze the development of constitutional government in Oklahoma.
    - Investigate the geography and economic assets of Oklahoma, tracing their effects on the history of the state.
    - Identify major cultural and ethnic groups, their settlement patterns and contributions to the state.
    - Examine factors that contributed to the political, economic, and social history of twentieth and twenty-first century Oklahoma.
