Dear Parents and Students,

The teachers and staff here at Elgin High School are looking forward to the beginning of the new school year, we believe the experience that your student will have here during their time at Elgin High School will be one to remember.  We want to encourage you to visit our web site at www.elginps.org to keep up with upcoming events and to stay in touch with the things that are happening at EHS.

Another vehicle for communication and to help keep you informed is our monthly newsletter that is sent out via email, if you are not receiving this newsletter, you may request it by emailing [email protected].

Enrollment for new students will be August 4th – 8th, in the High School Office, from 9:00 – 3:00.  Anyone needing to enroll should come to the high school during those hours to get your student enrolled.

Freshmen Orientation will be held on Friday, August 8th from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the high school gym.  Freshmen will not want to miss out on this exciting evening hosted by Elgin High School’s Link Crew.  The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from middle school to high school a positive one.  Freshmen will tour the building, find their lockers, see their classes, meet the Link Leaders and get ready for an awesome year.

The first day of school will be August 13th.  All high school students need to report to the high school gym at 8:20. Instructions for the rest of the day will be given at this time.  All student drivers need to park in the student parking lots.  All student drivers need proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license to be eligible to park on campus.  Please see Officer Tracy for more information regarding parking on campus.

Elgin High school offers a variety of clubs and activities and I would encourage your student to be a part of this activities.

We have had a great summer and are expecting a great 2014-2015 school year.  I hope that this upcoming school year will be a rewarding experience for the students and the parents.

Go Owls!
