Four Elgin High School teachers are amongst 35 from across the state to have been awarded grants through the Oklahoma University K20 Gear Up for Success Initiative. Each teacher attended a two week summer program at the university and various additional trainings, and collaborated with other teachers throughout the state to use technology and authentic lesson techniques to enhance lessons for their students. This fall, teachers in the program were given the opportunity to submit a lesson along with requests for technology to help better implement the lesson.
Cheryl Dezell, Lori Janda, Marcia Osborn and Suzanne Phillips were among the 35 from across the state chosen to receive these grants, which will be used to purchase microscopes, laptops, and ipads. Congratulations to our 4 teachers!!
